6,000 years ago a forest enveloped the central plain of Europe, from the Carpathians to the Baltic Sea. Only a small part of this wide forest remains intact.

The National Park of Bialowieza, classified World Heritage Site protects 163,000 hectares of this primary forest, direct descendant of the prehistoric forest. Here, nothing has changed. The fauna and the flora live in balance forever. Men decided to leave this haven of peace to bison, deer, roe, wolf, trees, without interfering in their world.

It is by the will of men that Bialowieza continues to live. If they stop acting, these species will be lost forever!
