Even Brazilians rarely get the chance to visit the Amazon forest. Bel Coelho is about to live one of her dreams and learn the precious culinary secrets of her country’s original inhabitants.

Together with fisherman Neto and his wife Cristiane, Bel Coelho finds out how to prepare freshwater fish - mamuri and bream – served with macaxeira cassava flour. She then heads deeper into the forest to meet the Yanomami Native Americans and prepare a great feast with them. Among the gastronomic delights are monkey, macaw, sweet potatoes and acai berry juice – delicious dishes that are new to Bel Coelho.
