Bel Coelho visits the largest area of marshland in the world: the Pantanal, with its extraordinary display of biodiversity. She discovers a region whose magic, myths and traditions are reflected in its local dishes.

Bel Coelho joins Eliane and learns to catch and cook the legendary piranha, which is famous throughout the region and said to pass on its energy to those who eat it. Bel is then invited to lunch with a 'comitiva', a team of cowboys who drive herds of cattle to new pastures when the waters rise. At a town market, she discovers foods from neighboring countries and learns of the influence of Bolivia and Paraguay on local cuisine.
